Birdmonster, Two Sheds, Low Red Land, Birds and Batteries, Murray the Thief, Finn Riggins, D Numbers and Writer @ El Rio
The Bay Bridged is hosting their fourth annual "Big Time Freedom" fest at El Rio, and has a handful of great local bands lined up. Highlights include Birdmonster, Low Red Land, Two Sheds and Birds and Batteries.
We are particularly excited for Low Red Land. While clearly at home on the folk-leaning bill, we can't help but note elements of mid-90s post-hardcore shining through -- at times, even the powerful yet melodic sound of Quicksand comes to mind.
For $8, this daytime event should be a great alternative to the typical 4th of July BBQ.

CLUES (ex-Unicorns, Arcade Fire), Geographer, Birds and Batteries @ Rickshaw Stop
Real excited for Clues at the Rickshaw Stop. Their self titled debut is kinda the shit (at times), and I could see them really solidifying as they find their sound. Clues is ex-Unicorns/ex-Arcade Fire, and the influence is definitely clear. Word is they bust out two drummers and a Commodore 64 throughout the live show.
Check them out
(Dudes don’t even have a real MYSPACE!!)
Show is $12.. if you have nothing else to do, check it out.
